Supported vehicles¶
A vehicle profile lets you access data that a car doesn't expose through standard OBD, such as state of charge, cell voltages, charging status, and more. The profiles below have been created and tested by WiCAN owners. Search by make, model, or value to filter the list.
Before you order
The list is built from user submissions and verified through user feedback, so coverage varies by model year and market. Read the notes below the list first: why WiCAN PRO is the version to order, vehicles whose alarm an OBD adapter can trigger, and how standard OBD data differs by make.

No profile matches. A car without a profile still gives its standard OBD-II data.
Before you rely on a profile¶
The list is based on user submissions. Profiles are tested and verified through user feedback, so a profile may fit one model year or market and not another. For a particular make and model, search the GitHub issues first: owners report what worked, what did not, and the tips that made it work.
WiCAN PRO recommended¶
We highly recommend ordering the WiCAN PRO version because:
- It features an advanced OBD chip, improving compatibility with a wider range of vehicles.
- You'll receive access to the latest features and firmware updates.
- It offers better long-term support compared to the standard WiCAN because of memory limitations on the original WiCAN hardware.
Vehicle alarms¶
On some vehicles an OBD adapter that stays plugged in and polls the ECU while the car is off triggers the alarm. The vehicle's own firmware decides this: on some cars the behaviour can be switched off in the car's settings, on others it cannot. Sleep and wake covers what WiCAN does while the car is parked.
Standard OBD data differs by make¶
Profiles carry vehicle-specific values, mostly for electric and hybrid cars, sometimes for a combustion car's odometer or fuel level. Beside them, most electric, hybrid and combustion vehicles answer a set of standard OBD-II PIDs, and what is available depends on the make and model: some manufacturers disable standard PIDs, others replace them with proprietary ones, so even two cars of one brand can differ. The scan on the AutoPID page finds what your car answers; a car without a profile is not a car without data.
Use a profile, or add your car¶
Loading one is described under Vehicle profiles. A profile is one JSON file: the car's name, an init string and the requests with their decode expressions. Test the requests on your own car with the Test button on the Parameters page, then open a pull request against the vehicle_profiles folder of the firmware repository (its README has the format); the published list and this page follow the merge.
